Spring Cleaning: 3 Steps for Organizing your Presentations

Author:

Springtime is only a couple of days away and with the changing of seasons comes a great opportunity to organize your presentations. Many businesses have thousands of presentations, but finding the right one is like finding a needle in a haystack. Without a way to catalog or manage them in one place, having all those presentations can do more harm than good.

In order to improve accuracy, efficiency, and productivity it’s important to be able to quickly reference and locate all past presentations. So why not get organized so you can spend less time going through old presentations and more time closing deals?

Here are 3 steps to take when organizing your presentations:

1. Review All Your Content: the first problem is not even knowing what you have and where you have it.
2. Assess Relevance and Accuracy: Take a hard look at your materials and decide if it’s still relevant and accurate.
3. Organize, Archive or Delete: Relevant and accurate presentations should be organized for easy access; everything else should be archived (marked Do Not Use-For Reference Only!) or deleted (especially if it’s content that’s no longer accurate).

Even if you don’t move to a new system or tool for managing your presentations, just the act of Reviewing, Assessing and Organizing will improve your team’s efficiency and effectiveness when it comes to building presentations. And time saved building is more time spent selling!

If you do take this opportunity to switch to a new management system, CustomShow allows you to import all your presentations into one place so that slides are organized into clear and manageable folders. It is then much easier to access and reference current and past presentations. Once your presentations are all in one place, it’s much easier to go through the three organizational steps regularly and not have to wait until Spring!
